Mental Mayhem

It’s one of the gifts of understanding Thought, that when I locked my keys in the car the other day, I immediately knew I was overthinking things. My personal alarm system consists of forgetfulness, clumsiness, and senior moments. What are yours?

Getting caught up, especially at this time of year, is part of the human condition. I’m retired, so I don’t get nearly as freaked out over the holidays as do the working folk, but I can still go nuts trying to find my grandson’s size in jeans, or just the right gift for my good friends.

After weeks of fruitless searching, the jeans were at Costco! And as soon as I remembered where my spare key was hidden, I was back on my way. Now I get to quiet myself and recall my innate peacefulness, which is right where I left it, underneath the commotion I made up.
